Vastra Holding Signs Investment Agreement in Cage Fish Farming

Vastra Holding, a knowledge-based investment group, has partnered with innovative companies and key industry players to empower the cage fish farming value chain and promote sustainable aquaculture. This collaboration aims to enhance infrastructure and expand production capacity in Iran and the region.

In this regard, Vastra is investing across multiple segments of the cage fish farming value chain, including production optimization, water quality improvement, optimized feed production, logistics, and modern processing. These initiatives will increase domestic market share and strengthen Iranian companies’ regional and global competitiveness.

According to Iran Fisheries Organization statistics, the country’s cage fish farming output in 2022 was approximately 10,797 tons. With this initiative, production capacity is expected to increase by 2.5 times within five years, boosting economic efficiency and sustainable industry growth. Additionally, compliance with global export standards will enhance foreign exchange earnings and reinforce Iran’s role in international food diplomacy.

This investment not only expands production and processing capacity but also aligns with national food security goals, contributing to sustainable and high-quality protein production.

To achieve these objectives, Vastra leverages insights from industry experts, including Dr. Sorena Sattari, former Vice President for Science and Technology, and Dr. Ghasemi, CEO of Pasargad Bank.
